Audience:
This document was prepared for Dr. Monske and the Ishpeming Main Street Program Director.
Purpose:
This document was created to gauge our ability at predicting and understanding the needs of our target audience for the Ishpeming Main Street Program Volunteer Handbook. It is an outline of the proposed table of contents, the process by which we will gather information, and the breakup of tasks between Amber Gauthier (project partner) and myself.
Information Source:
The Main Street Program Director provided us with an overview of the organization, as well as numerous printouts; he identified which sections were to be copy/pasted and which sections we were to create.
My Role as Technical Communicator:
During our first meeting, I asked a variety of questions covering every aspect of the Main Street Program in order to determine what information needed to be researched. I helped to plan out the table of contents, as well as dividing each section in a way that yielded equal workload between myself and my partner.
Skills and Tools Used:
Microsoft Office 2007 was utilized in order to create a modern, efficient layout of the document. Office 2007's advanced graphics capability was essential in the document's final, professional look. PDF995 is a free print-based driver plug-in used to convert the document to PDF format.
