Synopsis:
This short research essay explores the uses of mythology and symbolism in Plato's "The Cave" in order to present the audience with a concept that might be difficult to understand. By focusing on the "macroscopic" and "microscopic" elements of myths in general, it is argued that myths are an integral way of understanding how we approach concepts such as knowledge and reality, and that myths might be more capable of demonstrating these approaches than any other form of literature, spoken or nonspoken.
